The department regrets the passing of Emeritus Professor Neil Jumonville following a lengthy illness. Professor Jumonville taught courses in American Intellectual History, the history of American humor, and American historiography until his retirement in 2015.

The mission of the Rosenstrasse Foundation is to commemorate, encourage, and educate about civil courage--concrete actions in opposition to injustice and human rights violations.
