While public history students have the option of writing a traditional master's thesis on a topic of their choosing, many opt to complete a capstone project instead. This project is an opportunity for the student to build hands on experience as a public historian, and create a permanent resource for others to use. The exact structure and format of the capstone project is to be determined by the individual student and the student's faculty advisor.
