Having a large department means we have faculty who specialize in almost every area of the globe from the Medieval period to the recent past.
300 Students
On average, we have 300 History majors each year. Students build community through the undergraduate History Club and the History Graduate Student Association.
Recent Awards
In the past three years, faculty and graduate students won highly prestigious awards from the Stanford Humanities Center, The Newberry Library, The Smithsonian, the Fulbright program, and Dumbarton Oaks (a Harvard University Research Institute).
