Pamela Robbins was raised in Clearwater/St. Petersburg, FL and misses the beach daily.
Pamela Robbins received her B.A. (1992), M.A. (1994), and Ph.D. (2003) from Florida State University, where she joined the faculty in 2004. She primarily works on the history of slavery and its legacies, the history of immigration and the history of pop culture in the United States.
In the classroom, her main goal is to make history applicable to all students, regardless of their major. Pam has a long history of excellence in teaching, receiving numerous awards for teaching including the Florida State University Excellence in Teaching Award, Phi Beta Kappa Excellence in Teaching Award and Burning Spears' Guardian of the Flame Teaching Award.
When she is not in the classrooms or her students, she can can be found at the beach with her husband, Steve, and their cat, Burrito.
