Pamela Robbins received her B.A. (1992), M.A. (1994), and Ph.D. (2003) from Florida State University, where she joined the faculty in 2004.  Pam has a long history of excellence in teaching, including the Florida State University Excellence in Teaching Award, awarded consecutively in 2012 and 2006, and most recently with the Phi Beta Kappa Excellence in Teaching Award (2015) and Burning Spears’ Guardian of the Flame Teaching Award (2015).  She primarily works on the history of slavery and its legacies, the history of immigration and the use of film in the classroom.
