"International Conference: Civilians and Warfare in World History" at Florida Gulf Coast University

This conference examines the experiences of civilians in warfare in broad comparative chronological, disciplinary and regional focus. The event has attracted worldwide participants.  We are hoping to attract a diversified audience, and have contacted local organizations such as VFW, American Legion, and DAR chapters,  historical associations and societies, universities, and other organizations related to or interested in war veterans and military history, the justification and consequences of war, and its effects on civilians. Also in attendance will be those interested in history in general, and supporters of FGCU including current students and faculty, alumni, and others concerned with the welfare of the university.
